All I Want For Christmas
All i want for Christmas is to see my family happy. And all my family wants is a house. We have been living in an apartment for the past 15 years. Financially i just cant do anything about it.
Bills, credit and just life itself. My children are my life, i feel blessed because they understand ur situation and ask for nothing (we haven’t had Christmas in 2 or 3 years). They did not get upset, in fact what little i offered to do, they asked to just get their friends small gifts. As much as i feel blessed i also feel like a failure as a parent.
My children are straight a students, dont run the streets, would rather read books than go outside, dont ask for anything and only want a house for Christmas. In case your wondering where the father is. He is not in the picture. We haven’t a clue where or what he doing as we’ve had not contact in 15 years.
But as a parent, i cant live in the past. I must focus on the future and make life better for my children. Working part-time and no car, its going to be difficult. Its been difficult. My co-workers ask me how can i work every day and smile as if nothing is going on. Because i would never bring my personal issues to my work place, its unprofessional.
I smile to keep from crying and think that somewhere someone my have it harder than me. Winning a million dollars would be a dream. But as i’ve learned Dreams rarely come true in our situation and the reality is much harsher. What would i do if i did though. I would buy a House for my family, give some to a charity or school and save or invest the rest so that i could give my children a chance at a better life. This is all i want for christmas. Is it asking for to much.
